MI cable thermocouple (flexible) 

Description

Application

It is used for measuring the temperature of hard-to-reach surfaces and media. Supplied with collapsible structure for installation inside equipment. Used in the pipe coils of furnaces.

Main characteristics of thermocouple:
Application in hazardous locations Exia; Exd; Exdia
Protection level: IP68
Ambient temperature t° C: from -50°C to +85°C
Nominal Static Characteristics (NSC) of convertion according to STB GOST P 8.585-2004: ТХК(L), ТХА(K), ТНН(N), ТЖК(J), ТМК(T)
Types of hot junction (Sensing Element): I, N, II, IN, 2I, 2N
Sheath materials of MI cable: AISI 310, AISI 304, AISI 316, 12X18H10T, Inconel 600 and others
Range of measured temperatures from 0 to +1100oC
Design features:
It is possible to use compensating coils designed to minimize stresses on thermocouple weld seams due to thermal expansion.
The guiding welded clips keep the thermocouple in contact with the pipeline surface during cooling and allow thermal expansion without damaging the weld seams.
The version with a weld-on tip provides direct contact of the temperature sensor with the measured surface.
The use of a thermal shield protects the tip and junction of the thermocouple from the flame of the burner. The flame of the burner can lead to incorrect readings (higher) and premature thermocouple failure.
By agreement, the use of special constructions can be considered (eg. MI cable with an increased wall thickness, additional protection in places of elevated temperatures, etc.).
